DEFINITIONS

Non-infective endocarditis is a condition marked by a clot, blood clot on the damaged heart valve.

CAUSE

The risk of non-infective endocarditis is found at:
- Lupus erythematosus
- Lung cancer, stomach or pancreas
- Tuberculosis
- Infection of bone
- Diseases that cause weight loss a lot.

SYMPTOMS

Heart valves may leak or unable to open properly.
Risk of emboli formation may cause a stroke or heart attack.

TREATMENT

Used drugs that can prevent clots
